Seaside Suites Map

The trip is approaching and we're getting into the nitty gritty planning stages. I found some pretty cool info to check out.

El Dorado Seaside Suites is located in the gorgeous Kantenah Bay in the Riviera Maya, facing the beautiful Mexican Caribbean. Only one hour south of Cancun International Airport, 25 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, 10 minutes north the natural aquarium Xel-Ha, 20 minutes south of the ecological Xcaret Park, 25 minutes north from the ruins of Tulum, and just minutes away from Puerto Aventuras Golf Club, El Dorado Seaside Suites provides perfect distances to the main tourist attractions and sightseeing places of the destination.

Our wedding trip is approaching!

Our wedding trip is approaching! We’d like to get an updated number of guests planning to join us. If you could please confirm or decline the invitation via email or phone by October 31st, that would help us a lot!

It is very important to make your reservations through Destination Weddings, since it is the only means by which we can coordinate the entire wedding and keep everyone together and informed - thus creating a successful destination wedding. Please visit the Travel Details page on our wedding website for detailed hotel and travel information.

DestinationWeddings.com
Please contact us if you do not have the passcode.

Contact Karilyn Barnett at 713-319-6704 or by email at kbarnett@destinationweddings.com to secure your travel & hotel accommodations.

The travel specialist mentioned that prices tend to increase once the holidays are upon us so the sooner you make your plans the better. And unlike other online reservation services, you do not have to pay in full at the time of booking! In fact, our Destination Wedding Travel Specialist can set up an interest free payment plan for you to make it easier.

A friendly reminder to all our guests who are planning on joining us: please make sure your passports are ready!
Everyone who travels in/out of the United States will be required to have a passport after December 31, 2006 (they are good for 10 years). You can download and print the forms at http://travel.state.gov/passport. Your post office will also have the forms. You can have passport regulation photos taken at a local Walmart or Walgreens, for example; typically anywhere pictures are taken. You will also need a certified copy (government issued with a raised seal) of your birth certificate and acceptable form of identification. U.S. Passport fees are approximately $82 - $97. Current processing time is approximately 4-6 weeks from the time of application.

We chose a destination wedding to spend quality time with our loved ones and those that we may not get to see too often. We hope you can come and share this special occasion in paradise with us!

Love,
Chance & Kelly

Travel Info and More

So some have asked us what dates we "the couple" are actually traveling and maybe an idea of "the plan".
Chance and I are staying for 7 nights Wed. April 21st to Wed. April 28th. The wedding ceremony will take place on the beach on Friday at about 5pm. We will probably do some sort of dinner or beach party the evening before...
The guests are welcome to come whenever they want and stay for as long as they'd like. We're not going to kick you out of Mexico after the wedding or anything like that. We are just so happy that your coming and would love to spend time with our friends and family on this super special vacation. Once we get a little closer to the date, we will put some plans together for any special outings, parties, golfing, and such. If you have questions or are unsure about the travel info or details please contact me -
Also, I've never been to Mexico so I am assuming others may not have been either. The El Dorado Seaside Suites is all inclusive, gourmet even. This means when you get a quote from Karilyn, it includes your airfare, transport to the hotel, all taxes and fees, your room, AND all of your food and drinks! I know, sounds crazy, but it's true! Also, when I asked how her prices compared to going direct to the sources i.e. hotel and airline, or going through discount travel sites, and she said she is right on target, or will price match as long as it's apples to apples. She also said to beware of booking it on your own - if you are considering it, please contact her and she will work with you for many reasons. I actually checked her prices before booking our trip, and found it to be even cheaper. By going through her we will all benefit from "group discounts" as well as the realtionship Destination Weddings has with the resort. PLUS, they have an interst free payment pland AND your vacation will be guaranteed! Also remember, that the quote and rooms are based on 2 people. If you and your guest are not flying from the same city, please make sure to contact Karilyn so she can make special arrangements. Also, if you want to come but may not have someone to bring, let me know. We may have other singles that need to share as well.
Check out the latest news that I've heard from some guests:
"Right now there is only a very small difference between the least expensive garden view room to the wonderful swim-up suites. Normally, the difference in price between the categories is
significantly more! This is just one of the perks for booking early. "

The wedding date is set!

Can you believe it, after going back and forth and side to side with wedding ideas, we are happy to announce that we have set the date (and the place).

Our wedding will be held on April 23, 2010 in Riviera Maya Mexico. Friends and family are invited to share our special day and also have a fabulous beach vacation.

We have never been to Mexico, but when we were pinned down and asked about our "dream wedding", we both wanted something on a beach. Casual, fun, sunny and beachy! In comes the blue-green water of the Caribbean Sea and smooth white sand. How could anyone resist?!

We really hope everyone can make it to our destination beach wedding in Mexico.

We started the blog for a couple reasons:
1.We know you just can't get enough of us and want to know what's going on in our lives at all times!
2. The wedding website though Destination Weddings doesn't have a place for guests to post comments or ask questions... so we created a way!
3. Please feel free to send ideas, experiences, or anything you'd like to share with us. We'd love to hear from you.
4. Also, if you'd like to RSVP but haven't confirmed your travel plans, you may do so here. We would love to know who is joining us as soon as possible, even if you're going to wait to book your trip.
5. Although we want everyone to attend, we know that some may not make it. You are welcome to RSVP regrets via this blog as well. However, you must post something nice about us... maybe a special moment that your remember or a funny story...

We love you all!
